How to change the presentation template

In the editor, press the template button in the header and pick another one. Text and images stay; switching is free on every plan.

The template changes for the whole presentation at once and costs no credits. Built-in templates are available on every plan.

  1. Open the “Template” window

Open the presentation in the editor. The header has a button with a thumbnail and the name of the current template — press it to open the “Template” window.

  2. Pick a template

“Built-in” holds the JamPres templates, “Yours” holds your account's templates (Pro plan). Covers show your presentation's title. Click a template and the presentation switches to it immediately.

  3. Pick the light or dark variant

The sun and moon switch at the top of the window turns on the “Light” or “Dark” variant — every built-in template has both.

  4. Check the slides

Text and images stay; colours, fonts and layout change. If text doesn't fit in the new template, the slide splits in two, and the header shows “Added … slides: the text did not fit”. If there's more room, slides that were split earlier are merged back. Don't like it? Press “Undo” or Ctrl+Z.

If a slide used a layout unique to the previous template, its “Slide layout” field shows “Layout of another template”: the slide is drawn with a fallback layout, and the content is intact. Switch back to that template and the layout returns.

The logo and a custom accent colour in the same window are on the Pro plan. The published link shows the new template after “Update publication”.
