How to edit the whole presentation in plain words

In the “AI” tab, write what should change. The assistant shows its edits slide by slide; you pick the ones you want and apply them. One undo brings everything back.

  1. Write what should change

In the editor, open the “AI” tab in the right panel. In the “What should change across the whole presentation?” field, write your request in plain words: “Make it shorter”, “Simpler for beginners”, “Add a slide about the team”. Click “Suggest edits”.

The assistant works with presentations of up to 30 slides and adds no more than three new slides per request. It doesn’t make up figures or facts that aren’t in the presentation or the source text.

  2. Check the edits

The “Assistant’s edits” window opens: the title and the slides that will change, labelled “New”, “Rebuilt”, “Moved” or “Removed”. Click a slide to see it as it will become. Untick any row you don’t want changed. Until you click “Apply”, the presentation stays as it was.

Two lines may appear at the bottom of the window:

    • “Needed from you” — what’s missing, such as figures for a new slide.
    • “Will go” — figures, images and videos that disappear with these edits.

The assistant doesn’t remove slides with a form or a poll, because that’s where responses arrive.

  3. Apply or undo

Click “Apply”. All the edits land as one step: a single undo — Ctrl+Z — brings the presentation back as it was, and your earlier edits stay. If the text on a slide has already changed, for example by a co-author, that edit is skipped and the editor tells you how many were skipped. The published page changes only after “Update publication”.

  4. Check the price

A request costs 5 credits for up to 15 slides and 10 for 16 to 30; new slides are included. The price is on the button before you click. If the model doesn’t respond or there are no usable edits, the credits come back. Credits are spent on a finished proposal even if you close the window without applying it. A co-author spends their own credits, not the owner’s. Prices of other actions are in What are credits.
