How to rewrite, shorten or translate a slide with AI

The “AI” tab on the right has “Rewrite the slide”, “Shorten”, “Tone” and “Translate”. For a single phrase, select the text and the same actions appear above it.

  1. Open the “AI” tab

In the editor, select the slide and open the “AI” tab in the right panel. The actions here edit the whole slide at once, and a single undo — Ctrl+Z — brings it back as it was.

  2. Pick an action

    • “Rewrite the slide” — the model builds the slide again from the presentation's source text, in the same slide layout. A free canvas doesn't have this button: the model doesn't touch your arrangement.
    • “Shorten” — every text on the slide gets shorter.
    • “Tone” — “Neutral”, “Friendly”, “Formal” or “Persuasive”.
    • “Translate” — the slide into one of ten languages.
    • “Translate the whole presentation” — all slides, the website texts and the title. The editor asks you to confirm, and the presentation's language switches to the one you chose.

While the model works, a line under the buttons shows how many texts are done. If part of the answer comes back in the wrong shape, those texts stay as they were, and the editor tells you how many changed.

  3. Fix a single phrase

Select text on the slide and a toolbar appears above it with formatting, color and the actions “Shorten”, “Expand”, “Tone” and “Translate”. They change only the selection. To rewrite a whole block, select it and click “Rewrite (AI)” in the “Block” tab.

  4. Check the price

Each button in the “AI” tab shows its price in credits before you click. For “Shorten”, tone and translation it depends on how many texts the slide has. If the model doesn't answer, the credits come back. A co-author spends their own credits, not the owner's. How many credits your plan has and how to top up — see What are credits.
