How to set up slide transitions and autoplay

In the “Show” tab on the right, pick a transition for one slide or for all, and turn on autoplay and a progress bar. Viewers see them in the slides publication.

  1. Open the “Show” tab

In the editor, select a slide and open the “Show” tab in the right panel. Its “Presenting” section holds the transition and autoplay settings.

  2. Pick a transition

“Transition for all slides” sets the common transition: “Slide”, “Fade”, “Zoom”, “Magic move” or “None”. The “Transition to this slide” tiles change it for the selected slide only; the “As for all” tile brings back the common one. The first slide has no transition — it opens the show.

“Magic move” glides matching blocks from the previous slide into this one, and a line under the tiles says how many blocks will glide. The easiest way: duplicate the slide and move the blocks on the copy. With no matching blocks, the slide fades in.

  3. Turn on autoplay

In the “Autoplay” list, choose how often to flip: every 5, 8, 12, 20 or 30 seconds. The “Loop” checkbox starts over after the last slide; without it autoplay stops there. “Progress bar at the bottom” shows how much of the presentation is behind.

Autoplay waits while a viewer watches a video, types into a form or has the contents open, and doesn't flip a hidden tab. Viewers can pause and resume it with a button on the slide.

  4. Check it in Present

Click “Present” in the editor header and the presentation opens full screen from the current slide; Esc closes it. Viewers flip the slides publication the same way, and clicking the slide number opens the contents. PDF and PPTX have no transitions.

Blocks can also appear one by one. Select a block and choose its “Motion” in the “Block” tab: “Fade in”, “Rise”, “Count up” and more.
